Course Description
This qualification prepares individuals for roles as support workers who carry out specialised tasks in aged care services across residential, home, or community-based settings. These workers are responsible for their own performance within clearly defined organisational guidelines and are committed to maintaining high-quality service delivery through the development, implementation, and review of personalised care plans.
To successfully complete this qualification, students must undertake a minimum of 120 hours of practical work as outlined in the assessment requirements of relevant units of competency.

Course Requirements
• For Packaged courses, the student cannot progress to the higher qualification unless the student has (successfully) completed the lower qualification.
• Be at least 18 years of age to get enrolled in any course
Assessments Methods
Assessments may include short written knowledge tests, discussions and oral communication demonstrations, case study exercises, written reports, web based research and reports, final projects and final written exams. To perform at your best, you will probably need to work on the assessments outside of class time.
