Course Description
This qualification is designed for community services professionals involved in the delivery, coordination, and management of person-centred services for individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers apply specialised skills in community services, operating with autonomy and initiative under broad guidance from senior management. Their role may involve supporting clients to create positive changes in their lives to enhance personal and social wellbeing. They may also be responsible for supervising staff and volunteers, and may engage in case management and program coordination.
To successfully complete this qualification, students must complete a minimum of 200 hours of practical work as outlined in the assessment requirements of relevant units of competency.
All skills must be demonstrated in compliance with applicable Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.

Course Requirements
• For Packaged courses, the student cannot progress to the higher qualification unless the student has (successfully) completed the lower qualification.
• Be at least 18 years of age to get enrolled in any course
Assessments Methods
Assessments may include short written knowledge tests, discussions and oral communication demonstrations, case study exercises, written reports, web based research and reports, final projects and final written exams. To perform at your best, you will probably need to work on the assessments outside of class time.
